My name is Ismir Hero. I am a Dutch-Bosnian international broadcast professional with extensive experience in journalism, television directing, production and international news. My career spans Bosnia and Herzegovina, the Netherlands and Qatar, working with broadcasters including NOS, RTL Nieuws, SBS, Al Jazeera Balkans and Al Jazeera English.

As founder of Fixer Sarajevo, I support international journalists, producers and film crews as a local producer, editorial partner, fixer and translator. Because I understand both the editorial and practical realities of television production, I can quickly identify what a story needs and what a visiting team requires to make it work.

My involvement goes far beyond arranging logistics. I research and develop stories, find contributors, open doors, provide political, historical and cultural context, and help establish the trust required for sensitive and authentic interviews.

With an extensive network throughout Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Western Balkans, I can arrange contributors, locations, permits, local crews, equipment, transport, accommodation and other production requirements. Most importantly, I help international teams navigate the region with accuracy, sensitivity and confidence.
